Vivo last week launched a new mid-range smartphone 'Vivo Y17' in India. Priced at ₹17,990, the latest Vivo phone takes on the likes of Samsung Galaxy M30, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro and other mid-range smartphones.

Vivo Y17 comes with mid-range level specifications but with subtle upgrades. For instance, it comes with 5,000mAh battery and triple-rear camera setup - rare for under ₹20,000 phones. Let's take a look at the top features of Vivo's new phone.

Design, display

Vivo V17 comes with a glossy back finish with gradient design, similar to recent Realme, Honor and Xiaomi phones in the segment. The phone comes in Mineral Blue and Mystic Purple colour options. On the front, Vivo Y17 has a 6.35-inch 'Halo FullView' display with 19.3:9 aspect ratio. The phone offers 89% screen-to-body ratio.

Triple rear cameras

Vivo Y17 is one of the few smartphones to offer triple rear cameras in this segment. The setup includes 13-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel super wide-angle camera, and 2-megapixel depth camera. The super wide-angle camera is capable of shooting 120-degrees. It also has a 20-megapixel front-facing camera.
