Vodafone VoLTE now available in 3 new circles: How to check your phone’s compatibility

Vodafone on Thursday today announced the roll-out of its Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Gujarat circles.
Vodafone VoLTE service will be launched in Karnataka and Kolkata next, and thereafter across India in a phased manner in the coming months, the company said in a statement.
Voice over Long-Term Evolution or VoLTE is a standard for high-speed wireless communication for mobile phones, that offers superior call quality and improved coverage and connectivity.
"Accessible on popular 4G mobile devices with a Vodafone 4G SIM, customers can make calls using Vodafone VoLTE and enjoy HD quality crystal clear voice with super call connect...," a Vodafone statement said.
Vodafone 4G customers can avail the VoLTE for no additional charges and all calls will be billed as per existing plan or pack benefits, Vodafone said announcing the roll-out of its VoLTE services across Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Gujarat (in Surat and Ahmedabad).
Commenting on the development, Sunil Sood, Managing Director and CEO of Vodafone India, said, "We will be expanding the Vodafone VoLTE experience in several more circles shortly".
How to get started
Your phone should be compatible with VoLTE technology. Most of the phones available in the market right now come with VoLTE support. To check if your phone is compatible with Vodafone's VoLTE services, click here.
Step 1: Upgrade your smartphone to the latest operating system. Go to Settings > About > Software update (on Android)
Step 2: Insert Vodafone 4G SIM in the data SIM slot/slot 1 and select network mode as "4G/3G/2G (Auto)".
