Airtel Infinity vs Vodafone Red: Top monthly data plans for postpaid users compared
We take a look at the top monthly data plans offered by Airtel and Vodafone.

Vodafone India on Tuesday rolled out a new Red plan, called Red Basic, for its postpaid users.
Priced at ₹399, Vodafone is offering 30GB of 3G/4G monthly mobile data with the facility of data rollover, up to 200GB. Subscribers also get unlimited STD and local calls, free national roaming and 100SMSes.
The operator is also bundling free subscription to Vodafone Play for one year and Magzter app.
Vodafone's new Red Basic plan comes after Airtel revised its Infinity data plans for its users.
At ₹399, Airtel gives 20GB of internet data (with rollover facility) along with free unlimited local and STD call. This also includes free outgoing calls on roaming. Airtel is bundling free subscription to its Wynk music streaming service.
The plan excludes the free Amazon Prime Video subscription and add-on connection.
Vodafone Red Traveler R vs Airtel Infinity ₹499
For ₹499, Vodafone is offering 30GB monthly data with data rollover facility. The plan includes free unlimited local, STD and national roaming. Subscribers get free 100SMS, access to five free magazines from Magzter app for four months, and Free Red Sheild (Vodafone's smartphone insurance scheme) for four months.
Airtel, on the other hand, is offering 40GB monthly data with rollover facility. This plan includes unlimited local, STD and incoming and outgoing roaming calls. Additional benefits include free subscription to Wynk music streaming service, Airtel Movies, and handset damage protection scheme. The additional benefit includes one year subscription to Amazon Prime Video.


Vodafone Red Traveler M vs Airtel Infinity ₹699/799
In the higher range, Vodafone's ₹699 plan includes 40GB of monthly data with rollover facility. It also includes unlimited local, STD and national roaming. Just like the other data plan, subscribers get free access to five magazines for four months on Magzter and Red Shield for four months. Subscribers also get special treatment when calling Vodafone call centre services.


Airtel's competing data plan is ₹100 more expensive. At ₹799, it comes with 60GB of 3G/4G data with rollover. Customers get one free add on connection, and free access to Wynk, Airtel Movies and handset damage protection. This also includes one year of free Amazon Prime subscription.
