Nokia today announced the launch of three feature-packed smartphones - Nokia 700, Nokia 701 and Nokia 600 - with Near Field Communication (NFC) on Symbian Belle and has also tied up with Ra.One, the first movie in India to be marketed through NFC.
As a run up to the release of Ra.One, Nokia plans to launch a range of pioneering initiatives around the movie including giving consumers an opportunity to watch the movie one day ahead of its global release.
Consumers can also access exclusive Ra.One content from Ovi store or by just visiting their nearest NPP and tapping their NFC enabled device with the Ra.One NFC tags.
Commenting on the launch, D Shivakumar, managing director, Nokia India said, "The Indian smartphone market is growing at an exponential rate. Consumers today are looking for differentiators that go beyond multi-tasking and processor speed."
"There is great synergy between Ra.One and Symbian Belle as they both represent technology of the next level. I am delighted that Ra.One will be the first movie in the country to be marketed through NFC," said Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, brand ambassador of Nokia.
While all three smartphones contain recognizable Nokia features, they each represent a very distinct set of priorities to allow users to choose what matters most in a smartphone.
The most compact touch screen monoblock smartphone in the world (Nokia 700); a sleek and stylish smartphone with the world's brightest mobile display for indoor or outdoor use (Nokia 701)and Nokia'sloudest entertainment smartphone (Nokia 600) all bring firsts to the Nokia product portfolio.
The Nokia 600 is priced at ₹ 12,999 and the Nokia 700 at ₹ 18,099 - both will be available starting October - and the Nokia 701, at ₹ 18,999, is already available across the country.
