WhatsApp is reportedly working on a feature that is going to allow users to change colours inside the app. According to a tweet shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp users might be able to change colours in the chat box and pick a darker shade of green for the text on the screen.

There is no world about what WhatsApp might roll this feature out though.

This feature is the latest addition to a bunch of other new features coming on WhatsApp including one that allows users to change the playback speed of the voice messages. This feature is currently in beta and is being developed for iOS users for now.

The ability to change the speed of voice messages is going to be released with WhatsApp version 2.21.60.11 and will come with three different speed options - 1x, 1.5x and 2x and users can pick a speed that works best for them.

WhatsApp is also reportedly working on a WhatsApp Web Beta programme for iOS users. This same feature was spotted for Android users in January and is now being developed for an iOS beta version.

Once this feature is developed and rolled out, it will allow users to publicly test multi-device support. Multi-device support will allow people to use WhatsApp Web without having to keep their phones connected to the internet all through.

According to WABetaInfo, this multi-device support is a part of larger multi-device functionalities that is going to be made available for other mobile devices later. Anyone on the beta programme will be able to link up to four desktop devices at once including Facebooks Portal service.

The report adds that some of the features might not be supported immediately, like message deletion. But these will all eventually be added during the beta programme. Other features like calling might be supported if the recipient of the messages/calls is also using the latest version of WhatsApp. The WhatsApp beta programme is compatible with WhatsApp Business as well.

There is no clear information about when these two features will be available in public beta yet. Even if you are on the latest beta version for iOS you might not see these features though since they are still being developed.
