Xiaomi India opens its 3000th Mi Store in India
The 3000th Mi Store has been opened in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. With this, Mi Stores are now present across 850 cities in the country.
Xiaomi India on Monday announced that it had opened its 3,000th Mi Store in India. The 3000th Mi Store has been opened in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. With this, Mi Stores are now present across 850 cities in the country.
Xiaomi opened its first Mi India in India on August 15, 2018, in Bengaluru. In little over 2 years, the company has scaled up its Mi Store network and generated employment for over 6,000 people across India.
Apart from opening Mi Stores, Xiaomi India has also opened its flagship experience stores, also called Mi Homes, in Tier 2 cities and towns, across India. Xiaomi India currently operates over 75 Mi Homes, over 45 Mi Studios, over 8,000 Mi Preferred Partners and over 4,000 Large format Retail partners along with 3000 Mi Stores in India.
Xiaomi said that during the lockdown enforced in the country owing to the pandemic, it launched its first omnichannel solution called Mi Commerce as a special initiative with the intent to blur online and offline boundaries. This service is a hyperlocal delivery solution and it offers a rich shopping experience while regulating crowds, maintaining social distancing and ensuring the safety of the consumer and the retailer at Mi Stores.
