Xiaomi Mi 5 set to launch in India on March 31

The company unveiled its latest flagship device, the Mi 5, which it says is particularly fast and lightweight at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.

The Mi 5 comes in three versions. The Mi 5 Pro, with more memory and a ceramic body, will cost 2,699 yuan ($354). The cheapest version will cost 1,999 yuan ($262). It went on sale in China on March 1.
Hugo Barra, Xiaomi's vice president of international operations, says the Mi 5 is "faster and lighter that you ever imagined."
Xiaomi (pronounced schow-MEE) led China in smartphone sales in 2015, according to research firm IDC.
The Mi 5 flaunts a 5.15-inch full HD screen with 1,920x1,080 pixel and features a fingerprint censor and a home button. Under the hood, it gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 3GB/4GB RAM, Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI v7.0, along with 32GB/64GB built-in storage. Optics include a 16-megapixel main camera and a 4-megapixel front-snapper while juicing up the smartphone is a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
