Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV 4 launched in India, priced at 39,999

Xiaomi has for the first time launched its Mi LED Smart TV 4 outside its home turf, China.

Xiaomi on Tuesday launched its latest smartphones - Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. At the same time, Xiaomi also made its debut in the smart TV industry in India. Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV 4 is priced at 39,999, and will be available starting February 22 via Flipkart, mi.com, and offline channels.

Xiaomi has a limited period offer for early birds with 3 months free subscription of Sony LIV and Hungama, a free Mi IR cable, and free installation as well.

Xiaomi touts this product as the "world's thinnest LED TV" measuring 4.99mm wrapped inside a frameless design. Mi LED Smart TV 4 features a 55-inch 4HK HDR display.

Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV 4 specifications

Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV 4 is powered by Amlogic 64-bit quad-core processor and Mali-T830 for graphics. In terms of storage, it offers 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The Smart TV is equipped with Dolby+ DTS Cinema for audio output.

For connectivity, Mi LED Smart TV 4 offers 3 HDMI ports, and two USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports. It also has support for dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV 4 features PatchWall OS which is optimised for viewing in India. It offers over 500,000 hours of content in 15 Indic languages. More features include a smarter set-top box (STB) experience, and personalised recommendations with a clean UI. Mi LED Smart TV 4 can be controlled by one TV, and has a universal search option for searching content online and STB.

Xiaomi has also focused largely on content with Mi LED Smart TV 4. It has partnered with various Indian content players like Hotstar, Voot, Sony LIV, Hungama Play, Viu, AALTBalaji, and TVF. It will be introducing more partners on board soon. At present, the Smart TV offers over 500 hours of content, and 80% of it will be free to watch.

You can also watch the upcoming FIFA 2018 matches live on Mi LED Smart TV 4 through Sony LIV. There's also a dedicated kids section on Voot, and Hungama originals.
