Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is Android-based and it comes with Google Assistant voice support.
Xiaomi has launched its Amazon Fire TV Stick-rival ‘Mi TV Stick' in India. The Mi TV Stick made its debut just last month and now it's here.
Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is priced at ₹2,799, and its first sale will take pace on August 7 at 12 noon via Flipkart, mi.com and Mi Home stores. The Mi TV Stick looks quite like the Amazon Fire TV Stick with the difference being the logo and a dual-tone colour design. It comes with a remote control which has a dedicated Google Assistant button, and for Netflix and Prime Video as well. Mi TV Stick also has Google's data saver feature.
It's an Android-based streaming dongle with Dolby and DTS powered surround sound support. The Mi TV Stick also comes with Google Assistant voice support. It supports full HD resolution videos at 60fps. Under the hood runs a quad-core CPU paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It also packs an ARM Mali-GPU, and runs on Android 9.0.
Since it's Android TV-based, the Mi TV Stick comes with access to the Google Play Store for apps. It also has Chromecast built-in. Other than that the Mi TV Stick comes with popular OTT apps such as Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5 and more.
This is the second streaming device Xiaomi has launched in India. It has the Mi Box 4K which is priced at ₹3,999.
