Xiaomi takes on MacBooks with Mi Netbook Air priced at ₹35,000

Chinese smartphone and smart device maker Xiaomi has just dropped its first laptop device -- Mi Notebook Air -- in China. Paying homage to the iconic MacBook Air series from Apple, Xiaomi has gone for a similar name. However, in terms of specifications and features, the new laptops are available in two sizes -- 12.5-inch screen (~₹35,000) and 13.3-inch screen (~₹50,000).

Under Xiaomi's manged to fit an Intel Core i5 Processor with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB PCIe SSD, and an expandable SSD slot besides an NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics card. The laptops weigh in at 1.3 kg and 14.8 mm thickness.


Xiaomi also launched a budget dual-camera smartphone at the event which lets you change the focus point after the picture is captured.
