Yahoo has shut down its mail service in China and is asking users to transfer across to Alibaba's Alimail as an alternative.
The closure of Yahoo's mail service in China was announced back in April and follows the shutdown of its music service in the country back in January.
Those who transfer over to the Alimail service will continue to receive mails sent to @yahoo.com.cn and @yahoo.cn at their new address until December 31, 2014.
Yahoo paid $1 billion for a 40 percent stake in Alibaba, one of China's biggest internet services, in 2005.
