You can now order the Nexus 6 in India, but be prepared for a long wait
The Nexus 6 is Google's latest flagship in its Nexus series of smartphones, which have been extremely popular for offering high-end specs at competitive pricing. The Nexus 6, however, strays from the dirt-cheap pricing on the previous Nexus phones.
Google's Nexus 6 sales went live in India today, both on the Google Play store and Flipkart. It's an online exclsuive, which means you can't walk into your local mobile store and buy one. If you were hoping to get your shiny new device in your hands within a few days, however, we're afraid it's going to be a long wait.
At the time of writing, the estimated shipping time for the 32 GB version of the phone in black was 7-8 weeks on the Google Play store, while it was out of stock entirely on Flipkart. The white version and the 64 GB version of the phone said said 'Coming soon.' Think about it: even if you are able to get in your order today, you'll likely be waiting at least till the end of January before you get your Nexus 6.
The Nexus 6 is Google's latest flagship in its Nexus series of smartphones, which have been extremely popular for offering high-end specs at competitive pricing. The Nexus 6, however, strays from the dirt-cheap pricing on the previous Nexus phones. It starts at ₹ 44,000 for the 32 GB model and ₹ 49,000 if you want one with 64 GB. It features a gigantic 5.9-inch display, powerful guts and runs Android Lollipop, Google's latest version of its operating system for smartphones and tablets.
If you really want the phone, we recommend getting in line and hitting that Buy button as soon as possible. There is no word on how much inventory Google has, but we can promise you one thing: those shipping times are not going going to get any shorter.
