Your chatting experience set to change, WhatsApp polls coming!
WhatsApp polls feature will change the messaging experience of your groups chats. Know how.
Following the recent major WhatsApp updates, including Camera UI, new voice messages and many more, your instant messaging app is now set to roll out a special feature that will change how you chat in groups. In-the-works are WhatsApp polls for group chats, WABetaInfo confirmed. This WhatsApp feature is still under development but it is expected to be live for all users soon. WhatsApp Polls will allow you to create polls within the groups on the related topics to the group. It will allow consensus to be built over a topic and once a majority view is established everyone can accept it once and for all and thereby save a lot of bickering that goes on now. It can even allow users to bounce off ideas and get positive feedback. This can apply even to business ideas and ventures. The feature is most likely to be rolled out first for iPhone users and then later hit the Android and desktop users. As the WhatsApp Polls are under development, there is no confirmation when you will be able to experience this feature.
The WhatsApp updates tracker - WABetaInfo shared a sneak peek of WhatsApp polls in a screenshot which hints that WhatsApp will allow you to enter a question of the poll in your WhatsApp group along with 'Create' and 'Cancel' options. Polls will not be introduced in WhatsApp personal chats. Also, like the chats, WhatsApp polls will be end-to-end encrypted. “Thanks to polls, you can ask a question and other people can vote for the answer. Note that polls will only be available in WhatsApp groups and they are end-to-end encrypted… even your answers! So only people in the group can see the poll and the results,” WABetaInfo mentioned.
WhatsApp: What's More?
In a separate leak by WABetaInfo, the instant messaging app is reported to be working on a new feature that will let macOS and Windows users react to messages. The WhatsApp Message Reactions feature is under development and is expected to be rolled out in future updates. In a shared screenshot by Wabetainfo, the 'message reaction' feature will allow the users to react to a message by choosing between 6 different emojis, the way you can react to a message on Instagram. There will be a reaction button, which will be shown near a chat or group message only when your cursor is near the message. And when you press the reaction button, you will be able to react to the message through emojis, such as thumbs up, red heart, laughing smiley, and more. Though you need to know that the feature is under development hence, there is a possibility that a few more updates can be added to the feature in the future.
