The YouTube application for Android devices has just gotten a major makeover.
The updated app, which started rolling out across Android on August 19, allows users to minimize a video while searching for another, whereas previously users who wished to search for a new video while watching to another one had to stop or exit the current video to run the search. Now the app will simply move the current video to the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, where it will continue playing.
In addition to this update, users can also search and browse channels for playlists, and then watch these videos back-to-back, with greater ease.
The update will roll out to all Android devices, running Fryo and up, but those who can't wait for it to arrive on their Android device can find links to download it via the Android Police site, or download it at play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.youtube.
It is not clear when this update will hit iOS.
