On Wednesday, August 22, YouTube announced that TrueView, the format introduced in 2012 that enables desktop YouTube viewers to skip ads they don't like after five seconds, will be coming to mobile devices.
This announcement is the latest in a series of changes that Google have made to YouTube mobile, including introducing promoted video ads (based on viewers' searches) and in-stream ads (15 second pre-roll ads) last November.
