YU Yunicorn featuring all-metal body launched at ₹12,999
The metal-clad smartphone packs-in high-end hardware specifications and is priced at ₹12,999. It will be sold exclusively on Flipkart through flash sales from June 7.
YU Yunicorn, a subsidiary of Micromax, announced its latest flagship smartphone called the Yunicorn. The metal-clad smartphone, priced at ₹12,999, will be sold exclusively on Flipkart through flash sales from June 7. However, after a month, the price will be raised to ₹14,999.

YU says it is focusing on services in the new smartphone and as a result, the Yunicorn comes with a near-stock Android 5.1 Lollipop-based 'Android on Steroids' operating system. It offers a range of features including a vertical app drawer, and a monochrome mode for improved reading experience.
The company said that it has integrated several services such as Uber, Ola, TranServ, Scandid to make it easier for users to book a cab, recharge their mobile phone, book an appointment with a doctor. There is also YU Wallet, which will be utilised for payments.
As for the specifications of the YU Yunicorn, the smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full HD display. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card.
Other features of the YU Yunicorn include a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel selfie sensor, and a 4,000mAh battery. The dual-SIM and 4G LTE capable smartphone has a hybrid slot, which can be used to put in a microSD card.
The YU Yunicorn comes in Rush Silver, Graphite, and Rush Gold colour options.
