Xiaomi launches its flagship 75-inch QLED TV for ₹1,19,999: Specs and availability
This 75-inch QLED TV is the biggest and the most premium smart TV made by Xiaomi yet. Here’s what you need to know about the TV before you take a call to buy it.
Alongside the Mi 11 Ultra, the Mi 11X and the Mi 11X Pro, Xiaomi also announced the 75-inch Mi QLED TV today that comes with the Quantum Dot Technology. This is the largest and the most premium TV from the house of Xiaomi in India so far and it comes with a 97% screen-to-body ratio, a full array of local dimming technology, 120Hz refresh rate panel with Reality Flow 120 (MEMC) and a 30W six-speaker audio setup. This TV also comes with Dolby Vision and Dolby Audio support along with support for HDR10+ and DTS-HD.
As Xiaomi says, it wants to turn your living room into a movie theatre and the Mi QLED TV comes with an edge-to-edge display to cater to that. As we've mentioned before there is a 97% screen-to-body ratio on the TV and it comes with an aluminium alloy frame all around. The back of the TV is covered with a film of carbon fibre and it ships with a new ‘floating stand'.
The new Mi TV QLED 75” sports a 4K QLED panel that promises more saturated colours and a wider colour spectrum (100% NTSC). The TV comes with full-array local dimming technology that brings the contrast ratio of this TV to a 10,000:1. The Mi QLED TV comes with a 120Hz refresh rate coupled with Mi's proprietary Reality Flow 120MEMC tuning. In addition, it supports all the popular HDR codecs including Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG). It also has Mi's proprietary Vivid Picture Engine especially tuned to cater to Indian audiences.
For speakers, the Mi QLED TV comes with a speaker setup of 30W enabled by six drivers that can support Dolby Audio and DTS-HD. This speaker set-up comprises of a custom-made sound-box including two tweeters, two full-range drivers and two woofers offering an immersive acoustic multi-dimensional sound experience. Mi QLED TV ships with a huge speaker cavity which is 2.3x times the size of a typical speaker box and hosts 0.5 litres for each box making it a total of 1-litre speaker volume.
The Mi QLED TV runs on the latest version of PatchWall. Users can now control home AIOT devices from the comfort of their couch with the Mi Home App. The TV ships with Android TV 10 out-of-the-box so there's support for more than 5000 apps and games from Google Play, including YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Video, Disney+ Hotstar. It also comes with Google Assistant and built-in Chromecast.
For connectivity, the Mi QLED TV 75-inch comes with next-gen HDMI 2.1 compatible ports and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). The device also supports e-ARC that acts as a boost for bandwidth and audio speed. This TV has also been configured with the flagship 64bit quad-core A55 processor coupled with Mali G52 MP2 graphics and 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
The new Mi QLED TV also comes with built-in far-field mics so users can talk to their TV and use their voice to search and access entertainment, get answers, control the TV and smart home devices. One can also toggle the button to turn on/off mic physically (it is turned off by default). Mi QLED TV 75-inch is Mi's first-ever TV that will come with the ‘Works with Alexa' function which enables users to talk to Mi TV with the help of Echo devices at home. However, this feature is going to be delivered via an OTA update that's yet to be rolled out.
The Mi QLED TV 75-inch is priced at ₹1,19,999 and will be available on Mi.com, Mi Home and Flipkart.com starting April 27 from 12 noon. Users can also avail cashback offers for upto ₹7,500 with HDFC debit and credit cards. There is also an extended No Cost EMI option for upto 12 months.
