Apple AR headset 2021 specifications and price (Expected)

The Apple AR headset is expected to operate without even being paired with an iPhone and support a wide range of different apps. It is speculated to come with Mac levels of computing power, which means it could be as powerful as a proper PC. The 9to5Mac report stated that the headset is likely to be launched with two processors, wherein the higher-end processor is expected to have similar computing power as the M1 for Mac, whereas, the lower-end processor will be in charge of sensor-related computing.

The headset will support gaming, media consumption, and communication as well. The headset may feature at least six-eight optical modules that will simultaneously provide continuous video see-through AR services. Moreover, the device is also said to have two 4K OLED microdisplays from Sony. The upcoming AR headset will be similar to the Oculus Quest as it may have a collection of cameras to track and map the external environment. It may also have sensors inside to track the eyes of the wearer. The expected price range is between $2,000 and $3,000.
