The Garmin Forerunner 745 has been launched in the US for $499, which is 36,700 approx. If and when the smartwatch comes to India, it could be priced around that.

Garmin has launched the Garmin Forerunner 745 in the US adding to its large repertoire of premium smartwatches. The Garmin Forerunner 475 comes with a 1.2-inch colour display, a long seven-day battery life promise.

The Garmin Forerunner 745 has been launched in four colours and a lightweight design with silicon straps. It comes with a built-in GPS and a blood oxygen sensor and according to the company, this is its smallest and lightest full-featured running and triathlon smartwatch.

The Garmin Forerunner 745 has been launched for $499 ( 36,700 approx) and can be bought via the Garmin website. You get the smartphone in four colours - Whitestone, Black, Magma Red and Neo Tropic. Garmin has not announced any global details for this smartwatch yet.

Speaking of features, the Garmin Forerunner 745 comes with a 1.2-inch colour touch display that has a 240X240 pixels resolution. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass DX, sunlight visible and come with transflective memory-in-pixel (MIP). The bezels on the Forerunner 745 are made of fibre-reinformed polymer and the smartwatch comes with a 5ATM water resistance. The Garmin Forerunner 745 measures 43.8x43.8x13.3mm and weighs 47 grams.

It also has a built-in GPS and promises a 7-day life on a single charge. If you are using the GPS and not using the smartwatch for music, the Forerunner 745 can last for 16 hours. With music and GPS the usage comes down to 6 hours on a single charge. The Garmin Forerunner 745 can store 200 hours of activity data as well.

The sensors on board this smartwhatch include an accelerometer, barometric altimeter, compass, Glonass, gyroscope, and a thermometer. For connectivity, you get Bluetooth, ANT+ and Wi-Fi.

The Forerunner 745 comes with heart rate tracking, blood oxygen saturation, stress tracking, sleep monitoring and menstrual cycle monitoring. It also has a step counter, distance calculator, calorie counter and multiple activity profiles like cardio workouts, strength, yoga, pilates and can automatically count reps as well.

The Garmin Forerunner 745 works with both Android and iOS devices.
