Fujifilm on Wednesday launched a new instant camera in India. The newly launched Instax Mini 40 joins the company's Instax series of instant cameras. It costs 8,499 in India and it will be available across the country starting April 21.

Coming to the features, the Instax Mini 40 comes Black-based body that combines silver frames as a design feature. It comes with a Black camera case that is made of synthetic leather with stitching detail and a shoulder strap.

On the feature front, the Instax Mini 40 comes with the ‘Automatic Exposure' function that was first introduced in the Instax Mini 11 instant camera last year. This feature enables the camera to automatically optimise shutter speed, flash output and other settings according to the shooting conditions, making it easier for users to click images in various conditions.

Users can also activate the Selfie mode for taking selfies by pulling out the front edge of the camera's lens after powering it on. The mini 40 is an instant camera with a simple and classical design, which has a presence. The surface has a premium texture that sits comfortably in the hand, while the black-based body combines silver frames as a design feature. The attention to detail has perfected the sophisticated design.

Lastly, the Instax Mini 40 comes with the contact sheet featuring text in orange, which the company says will add a classical touch to a black frame. Fujifilm says that the design simulates a ‘contact sheet,' a bromide sheet printed with photos taken in films to check individual images.

“We have packed our new mini 40 with features that enhance the user photography experience with Automatic Exposure, which delivers premium quality bright instant photo prints, and Selfie Mode for a quick selfie wherever you go. We want people to grab their Instax Mini 40 and showcase not only their creative expressions but also preserve memories that last forever,” Haruto Iwata, Managing Director, Fujifilm India said on the occasion.
