Nothing’s much-awaited first product, the ear (1), has been launched today. These unique earbuds come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and a transparent build.

Nothing’s first product is now official. The ear (1) have been launched globally and the earbuds are going to be available on Flipkart from August 17 starting 12 noon and are priced at 5,999. The ear (1) buds come with a unique transparent design, 11.6mm driver, active noise cancellation (ANC), and more. In a rather cluttered earbuds market, what sets apart ear (1) is its design. The ear (1) buds sport a transparent look so you can see right inside and spot the microphones, circuit board, and magnets. The earbuds come with red and white dots on the buds to help them differentiate them for users. The charging case that houses the buds comes with a fishy dip that helps secure the bud in place and for a more customised fit, the ear (1) comes with three liquid silicone tips for you to pick from.

The Nothing ear (1) promises up to 5.7 hours of listening time and up to 34 hours with the case.

The ear (1) have 11.6mm drivers and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. The sound on the buds has been engineered by Teenage Engineering and the buds also come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) support. The ear (1) uses three high-definition mics and you can customise between a Light mode for moderate noise cancellation and a Maximum mode for noisier environments. There is also a Transparency mode.

The buds use Clear Voice Technology to ensure your calls are handled well and work on reducing background noise like the wind. The buds also come with features like Find My Earbud, EQ, Gesture Controls, In-Ear Detection, Fast Pairing, etc. The buds are sweat and splash resistant so don’t take them for a swim. They should be able to survive gym sessions though.

Charging the case for 10 minutes delivers up to 8 hours of life. The Nothing ear (1) supports wireless charging and is compatible with all Qi chargers.
