Coming to the features, each AirTag features a precision-etched polished stainless steel body that comes with IP67 water and dust resistant coating. It comes with a built-in speaker that plays sounds to help locate AirTag. It is equipped with the company's U1 chip that uses Ultra-Wideband technology to find the device using its Precision Finding feature. This feature works only with iPhone 11 series and iPhone 12 series smartphones.
As far as finding an object is concerned, Apple says that if a user misplaces their item and it is within Bluetooth range, they can use the Find My app to play a sound from the AirTag to help locate it. Users can also ask Siri to find their item. However, if the AirTag is out of Bluetooth range, the Find My network can help track it down. It uses a billion Apple devices to detect Bluetooth signals from a lost AirTag and relay the location back to its owner.
AirTag works with iPhone or iPod Touch running iOS 14.5 or later, or iPad running iPadOS 14.5 or later.
