Vivo Watch 2 revealed! But it will disappoint fans in India
Vivo has revealed its new smartwatch Vivo Watch 2. The wearable device will be launched on December 22.
Vivo Watch 2 is all set to be launched on December 22 in China. The company has shared glimpses of the upcoming wearable, ahead of the official launch event. According to the images, the Vivo Watch 2 appears to be equipped with a circular watch face and a round-shaped dial and interchangeable watch bands. The company confirmed that the new Vivo Watch will pack eSIM support as well. Vivo shared the live photos of the Vivo Watch 2 via its official Weibo handle. The watch is expected to feature two buttons on the side. However, Vivo Watch 2 is likely to disappoint fans in India as it is not going to be launched here at the same time.
The company has collaborated with China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile for the Vivo Watch 2. They have shared the same through their Weibo handle. The wearable will feature eSIM support which will enable the users to receive SMS even when not connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The users will also get calling features.
The wearable is claimed to pack two chips namely the main control chip and the communication chip. Additionally, the company also promises up to 10 months of software optimisation for the device.
Vivo Watch 2 is likely to offer up to 14 days of battery life when paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth, and 7 days of battery life on a single charge when used with independent communication via the eSIM. It is likely to be available in two colour variants. The images shared by the company show Black and White colour.
The Vivo Watch 2 is currently listed on Vivo China's website for pre-booking, however, the exact pricing is yet to be revealed.
As of now, the watch will only be available in China markets. Users from India and other countries will have to wait. The company may introduce the wearable in the Indian market soon though.
Along with Vivo Watch 2, the smartphone company will also be launching Vivo S12 smartphones during the online event for China on December 22. The company will unveil the Vivo S12 and Vivo S12 Pro smartphones during the event. The duo is likely to have a triple camera setup of 50 Megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The company has shared a short video teaser on its Weibo page.
