AWESOME Total Lunar Eclipse to be seen today; Know all about the blood moon

A rare cosmic event, total lunar eclipse, will be seen today, November 8. 

It can be seen in the regions of eastern Asia, Australia, Pacific and North America.

Total lunar eclipse takes place when the Moon, the Earth and the Sun align in a straight line. 

As a result, the Moon moves into the Earth’s shadow and an eclipse occurs.

During a total lunar eclipse, the Moon can be seen in reddish color.

This is known as the Blood Moon.

This happens due to scattering of sunlight by the Earth’s atmosphere. 

Itanagar, Guwahati, Siliguri, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar will get to see totality period of eclipse.

Delhi, Srinagar, Chennai, Gandhinagar and Mumbai will see partial eclipse.
