From bank accounts to social media apps, passwords ensure safety and security for each and every person on the Internet. Or does it? Well, if you are using any of these top 10 most common passwords, then beware!

Why? Because these are the most-hacked passwords in the world in 2022.

You may be using them simply because they are easy to remember. But it may end tragically for you.

Cybersecurity firm NordPass has shared a list of the top 200 most common passwords of 2022.

The top ten most common passwords include password, 123456, 123456789, guest, qwerty, 12345678, 111111, 12345, col123456 and 123123.

Tinder, batman, Euphoria and Oscars were also popular choices of passwords.

Among other bad passwords being used by millions of people were names of pets, family member and their own birth dates.

NordPass revealed that these are some of the most vulnerable password choices.

Users should switch to a non consecutive and patternless alphanumeric code to protect themselves from hackers.

These include generous use of #@%$_ along with numbers and a few letters.

Also, you should never share any password on social media apps with family, friends or strangers.

Remember, if you use easy passwords, you can end up losing money and even worse, your accounts may be used for other nefarious purposes.
