Don't like Elon Musk's Twitter? ClubHouse to CounterSocial, try these alternatives

After the site was taken over by Elon Musk, Twitter has been cutting the company's workforce, reinstating previously banned accounts, or suspending journalists who have shared too much info on Musk. So, you can vote with your feet and try something else. (AFP)

Mastodon stands first in the list. It is funded by donations, grants, and other similar means, but no ads. The feeds of this site are also chronological, unlike Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter. (AP)

Second in the list is Clubhouse. The social media app grew a lot during the COVID lockdown period. It is a buzzy audio-only application that later got overshadowed by Twitter Spaces. (AP)

Tumblr is third in the list of alternative options. Users can post multimedia and other content in the form of short-form blog.

Substack lets independent writers and podcasters publish directly to their audience and get paid through subscriptions. You can publish text and audio without paying for storage. (Twitter)

CounterSocial: CounterSocial says it is the "Next-Gen Social Network". It adds, "A unique social network. No trolls. No abuse. No ads. No fake-news. No foreign influence operations."
