Is iPhone 15 worth the wait? Well, it just might appeal to you

So, should you really wait for the next iPhone 15? Notably, the iPhone 14 was expected to be a game-changer iPhone. It wasn't. Covid disrupted Apple's plans to a large extent.

Thanks to the leakers, we have got an idea about what to expect from the iPhone 15. The best part is that not just Pro models, but the standard iPhone 15 is expected to get better next year.

One of the most talked about changes on the iPhone 15 lineup is the emergence of the USB-C port. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that Apple may replace its classic lightning port with USB-C ports for all iPhone 15 models. Yes, the standard iPhone 15 too!  (Pixabay)

As for the performance, the iPhone 15, at least the Pro models, will pack the latest A17 Bionic Chipset while the base and Plus model, will get the A16 Bionic. 

Apple will likely rename the iPhone 15 Pro Max as the iPhone 15 Ultra to go with the nomenclature it introduced with the Apple Watch. 

Design too may change and it may not look like the iPhone 14 at all. The iPhone 15 panel may offer the Face ID under the Display. And not just that, the Dynamic Island feature may come with the iPhone 15 too. 

This year, Apple introduced a 48MP camera for the first time on iPhone 14 Pro models. Now, the base model of the iPhone 15 series is expected to get an upgrade from a 12MP to a 48MP primary camera too.

While all of this is nothing more than educated guesses, there has been no word from Apple and probably there never will be till the day of the iPhone 15 launch.

The best part is that by the time iPhone 15 is expected to go into production, it may well have settled the chaos in China as well as ramped-up its manufacturing elsewhere, including India, to allow it to really go the whole hog and ring in the changes in all aspects.
