1. Picture-in-picture mode: WhatsApp is currently testing the picture-in-picture mode on its Beta app where you can use other apps while on a video call! 

2. New Emojis: As per WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently working on bringing up to 21 new emojis, several of which with multiple skin tone support! 

3. Search for messages by date - WhatsApp users will soon be able to search for messages by date, saving the hassle of scrolling through entire chats, as per a report by WABetaInfo. 

4. Forward media with captions - Frequently forward and share media with your friends and family? You can now forward images, videos, GIFs and more, with captions!

5. WhatsApp for tablets - WhatsApp is working on a native app for tablets and it is expected to arrive soon! You’ll be able to use WhatsApp natively on your tablets.
