Wow! India's first geared electric motorbike unveiled; Price, design, battery, check ebike

Matter Energy, Ahmedabad-based startup has unveiled India's first geared electric motorbike.

Though the name of the ebike has not yet been revealed it is being dubbed as a "22nd century" motorbike.

Here are some of the most important details you need to know about the ebike- price, design, range, specs and features.

 Design: The ebike gets a sturdy look and is offered in four color options – grey and neon, blue and gold, black and gold and red/black/white.

Battery: The motorbike comes with a 5 kWh battery capacity. The company has termed the battery as MatterEnergy 1.0. Time of around 5 hours is required to charge the battery completely.

The bike also comes with an active liquid cooling system and an integrated intelligent thermal management system (IITMS) to help regulate its temperature.

With a peak torque of 520Nm, the bike also offers three different ride modes namely- Sport, Eco and City.

Amazingly, it comes with a 4-speed unit conventional gearbox and offers dual-channel ABS. The ebike is also equipped with a 7.0-inch touch-enabled LCD screen.

The ebike offers smart app controls like remote lock and unlock feature, push navigation, push-button start feature, theft detection, charging percentage, and more.

The booking of the ebike will open in the first quarter of 2023 while the deliveries are said to begin in April, 2023.
