You can just return the Apple Watch Solo Loop if it doesn’t fit, no need to return whole device

Apple announced the Solo Loop and the Braided Solo Loop along with the Apple Watch 6 and the Apple Watch SE at the September 15 Time Flies event. The Solo Loop, as the name suggests, was a watch band without any clasps or buckles. Made with stretchable liquid silicone rubber, the band is supposed to fit your wrist snug and just right since there is no way to adjust it.

When some customers realised that that Solo Loop they had ordered did not fit and got in touch with Apple for it, they were asked to return the Apple Watch along with the band. As reported by MacRumours and The Verge, this meant that with limited supply of units in the market, a replacement could take weeks or months to come.

At that point, a policy like this felt utterly ridiculous since Apple Watch bands are supposed to be interchangeable. Theoretically, thus, customers should be allowed to return just the band and get a replacement.

Thankfully, Apple has changed the policy and has confirmed to The Verge that customers will be able to swap the band without having to hand over the Apple Watch with it, both online and at the store.

Alongside this, Apple has also updated its sizing guide online, with a printable tool for extra help, to be clearer about how to measure your wrist to ensure a good fit.

Some customers have already managed to get replacements for their ill-fitting bands, reports MacRumours.
