Genshin Impact 2.2 Update Release Date and Time: miHoYo has given details as to how gamers can update their devices to Genshin Impact version 2.2.

Genshin Impact 2.2 is right around the corner. Before the update arrives, miHoYo has shared all the important details that gamers need to keep in mind before they start playing the latest version of the game. This not only includes the server downtime and the eligibility criteria but also the key changes that will be arriving in Genshin Impact with the upcoming version 2.2.

miHoYo in a blog post explained that the maintenance will begin at 6AM UTC on October 13 and last for about 5 hours. For gamers in India, this change will come into effect at 3:30AM IST on October 13 and last till about 8:30AM IST.

The company said that the travellers who reach Adventure Rank 5 or above before 6:00 UTC on October 13 or 3:30AM will be eligible to get the Genshin Impact version 2.2 update.

“Our developers will distribute compensation to Travelers via in-game mail within 5 hours after the update maintenance is finished. The mail will expire after 30 days, so don't forget to claim the attached compensation in time,” miHoYo wrote in a blog post.

How to download Genshin Impact 2.2?

miHoYo has provided details as to how gamers can update their devices to Genshin Impact version 2.2. Gamers who are playing the game on PC can simply close the game and click on the Update button after opening the Genshin Impact Launcher. On the other hand, iOS users can simply open the App Store and tap on the Update button to update the game. The process is a bit different for Android users. Android users need to open the game and follow the directions on-screen to get Genshin Impact version 2.2.

On the other hand, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 can highlight Genshin Impact from the Home Screen, press the OPTIONS button, and select "Check for Update" to get the update.

What will be new in Genshin Impact version 2.2?

miHoYo has already highlighted a bunch of updates coming to Genshin Impact version 2.2. Version 2.2 of the game will bring new Inazuma Island and Tsurumi Island that are islands locked by perpetual fog. The update will also bring in a new four-star character called "Protector From Afar" Thoma. It will also bring Moshiri Kara, which is a mansion that was set up somewhere outside the Sea of Fog.

Genshin Impact version 2.2 also brings new weapons to the game, which includes Polar Star (5-Star Bow), Akuoumaru (4-Star Claymore), Wavebreaker's Fin (4-Star Polearm), and Mouun's Moon (4-Star Bow).
