Apple has just announced its next launch event for September 7 and we expect the new iPhone 14 series to be revealed.

Apple has just announced a new launch event for September 7 and while the secrecy is maintained, it seems we could be seeing the new iPhone 14 series at this event. Along with the iPhone 14 series, the September 7 “Far Out” event is also likely to announce the Apple Watch Series 8, its Pro version, and a new update to the Apple Watch SE. We could also expect the new Apple AirPods 2nd Gen announced at the event, and if Apple finds enough bandwidth, we could also be seeing a new base iPad at the event.

However, the product that most of us are interested in the most is the iPhone 14 series and the rumours suggest some big upgrades overall. The iPhone 14 series will have four models but one of them will be a brand new version of the iPhone. Moreover, the iconic Pro variant of the phone will finally get rid of the infamous notch, which could be the biggest fashion statement from Apple over the last few years.

iPhone 14

The iPhone 14 will be the standard new iPhone this year, although it may not entirely have “new” components. The iPhone 14 is rumored to have the same A15 Bionic chip as the iPhone 13 Pro, and that could help Apple in keeping the price as low as $799 for the base 128GB variant. The battery capacity is also expected to grow and we could see support for a faster 30W wired charger. There are rumours of a 90Hz refresh rate display as well, although this change seems unlikely. The design of the iPhone 14 will stay the same as the iPhone 13.

iPhone 14 Max/Plus

Instead of an iPhone 14 Mini, we could be getting a bigger iPhone 14 Max/Plus this year. The iPhone 14 Max will have a 6.7-inch OLED display of the same nature as the iPhone 14's display. It will have the same set of specifications as the iPhone 14, except for a bigger capacity battery.

iPhone 14 Pro

The iPhone 14 Pro will get lots of new stuff this year, chief among which is the new display design. The notch goes away for a punch-hole style cutout for the front camera and Face ID sensors. The Pro variant will use a new A16 Bionic chip that will have more transistors, promising better performance. The display itself will get a new 1Hz-120Hz OLED panel and might bring support for Always On Display. The Pro variant will also have a larger capacity battery and support for 30W wired charging. Lastly, the main camera is expected to get a higher resolution 48MP sensor.

iPhone 14 Pro Max

The iPhone 14 Pro Max will simply a bigger version of the iPhone 14 Pro. Hence, you will get the same pill-shaped cutout design, a new main 48MP camera, a bigger battery and obviously, a 6.7-inch OLED display.
