BSNL partners with IIT Bombay, Yupp Master to launch DRONE initiative in India

DRONE initiative, which stands for Digitally Rich Online Nationwide Education, has been launched to improve the proliferation of Digital Education Program in the country.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Friday announced a partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and online coaching platform Yupp Master to launch DRONE initiative in India.

DRONE initiative, which stands for Digitally Rich Online Nationwide Education, has been launched to improve the proliferation of Digital Education Program in the country. As a part of the initiative, IIT Bombay will offer digital content on a variety of topics covering wide aspects of learning needs of the masses such as IT Literacy (Java programming, Python, C, Scilab), health and nutrition (breastfeeding awareness), digital divide (net banking) and more through its Spoken Tutorial methodology.

In addition to this, the state-owned telecom company will extend Yupp Master's tech-driven learning programs to areas across the country. Yupp Master offers all-live programs that are accessible anytime, anywhere and on any device. Furthermore, it features curated study material, comprehensive tests and grading modules to ensure a methodical training of students. The online learning platform will soon launch gamification on its platform. It will also make the classes for the IIT JEE & NEET courses available in Hindi and in Telugu.

“We have put our best effort in creating an open ecosystem for best talents in education sector to partner with BSNL and drive the Digital India Program through BSNL's pan-India high-speed broadband network. Our DRONE Initiative allows anyone in the online education industry to partner with BSNL and create a pan-India presence through our digital platform,” PK Purwar CMD BSNL said on the occasion.
