Realme’s Watch 2 Pro introduced with GPS support, two-week battery

Realme has unveiled the Realme Watch 2 Pro which has been tipped to come with a 30Hz refresh rate and 600 nits brightness.

Realme launched the Realme Watch 2 a little over a month ago and that was their take on a budget fitness smartwatch. Now, to add to its repertoire and also increase what more its smartwatches can do, Realme has now introduced the Realme Watch 2 Pro. The Realme Watch 2 Pro does not look very different from the Watch 2, there is still a single button on the right-hand side and the watch is going to come with removable silicone strap options in light grey and black.

Where it does differ from the Realme Watch 2 is the display. The Realme Watch 2 Pro comes with a larger 1.75-inch display and it is also more dense. The Realme Watch 2 Pro comes with a 320 x 385 resolution as compared to the 240 x 240 panel that is on the Realme Watch 2. The Realme Watch 2 Pro screen comes with a 30Hz refresh rate and 600 nits peak brightness. This should make it easier to read outdoors.

On the fitness front, the Realme Watch 2 Pro supports tracking for 90 activities. There is GPS support for cyclists and runners. Along with this, there is also a SpO2 sensor and a continuous heart rate monitor. There is also water intake reminders, sedentary reminders, sleep tracking, and a meditation feature on the Realme Watch 2 Pro.

Besides this, the Realme Watch 2 Pro comes with a 390mAh battery that promises a 14-day battery life on a single charge, this is two days more than the 12-day better life promise on the Realme Watch 2. It also comes with more than 100 watch faces to allow user customisation on the device. The Realme Watch 2 Pro is IP68 rated so that means that the smartwatch can withstand dust, dirt, and sand, and is resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of 1.5m underwater for up to thirty minutes.

The Realme Watch 2 Pro is available in Malaysia for 299 Malaysian ringgit ( ₹5,274 approx). For those looking for a cheaper smartwatch with GPS support, the Realme Watch 2 Pro is an option and something that can be considered before one decides to splurge on more serious GPS watches.
