Whether it is a matter of visiting a new town or finding your way through the roads in your own city, Google Maps always comes in handy to save you from difficult situations while navigating. But everything comes with some faults too and Google Maps suffers from one such, but you can't really blame it! Like other Google applications, Maps work with an internet connection. An unstable connection or total loss of Internet connectivity to Google Maps can lead you to get stuck in the middle of the road!

But here is a trick that will see you get to where you are going without a glitch! Google Maps is more than just a navigation tool. Right now, we are talking about its features which can work as a sort of a miracle in the absence of internet. Yes, Google Maps works without internet too. You can use Google Maps offline and there is no need for an internet connection. It enhances the usability of Google Maps immensely, especially in the case where you may find difficulty in getting good network coverage or when you are running out of your mobile data. How to use Google Maps offline?

Step 1: You can use the Google Maps Offline feature on Android as well as iOS. To enable it, go to the Google Maps App on your device.
Step 2: You need to ensure that you are connected to the internet and not in Incognito mode.
Step 3: Now in the top right corner of the screen, you will find your Profile Picture, in the search panel, tap on it.
Step 4: You will find the 'Offline Maps' option in the menu. Then under Offline Maps, click on the 'Select Your Own Map' option.
Step 5: It will open a map. You will need to zoom out or adjust it within the blue box according to the area that you want to download. Unfortunately, you can't search here, you have to select the area this way only.
Step 6: Once the map is selected, you will need to tap on the Download button at the bottom of a blue box.
Step 7: And it's done! Your downloaded maps will show under the Offline Maps option in the app which you can access the same as the map online, but here without internet. Happy journey!
