Clubhouse has added a new toolkit for creators on its platform. This new toolkit enables Clubhouse creators to record a live audio room so that people who missed all the action can enjoy it later. Notably, Clubhouse had started testing Replays back in September this year and now it has started rolling out the feature to its Android and iOS users across the globe.

As far as the feature is concerned, Replays, as Clubhouse describes it, is an optional feature that creators can toggle on or off for any public room that they create. When enabled, anyone on Clubhouse can replay the entire experience whenever they like. What's interesting about this feature is that they will experience the room exactly as it was happening live, which means that they will get to see the same elements of a live room like Leave Quietly, and watch the dynamic of the stage and audience shift and evolve throughout the discussion, including PTRs, and mic taps among others.

But the scope of Replays lies beyond that as well. Clubhouse said that Replays will support a host of existing features on the platform. One of the features is Pinned Links that was launched a few weeks back and allows moderators to pin a link to the top of a room and update it as per the ongoing conversation. “With Replays, Pinned Links remain fully interactive, so they update throughout the course of the room, allowing creators to share relevant content and realize value long after the room has ended,” Clubhouse wrote in a blog post.

In addition to that, listeners will be able to skip to the next speaker and play, pause, scrub, clip and listen to the room at 1.5x or 2x speeds. Also, Clubhouse creators will be able to see who is listening to a room's Replay after the live room has ended, which in turn will allow them to connect with other users who didn't listen to the experience in real-time.

Clubhouse also said that creators will be able to download the audio file of the room, edit it and share it as a podcast or as a clip on other platforms such as YouTube, Instagram or even TikTok. Lastly, the voice-based social media platform said that Replays will be discoverable within its platform from a number of key places including club pages, speakers' profiles and search starting next week.

That said, Replays is not the only feature that Clubhouse has started rolling out on its platform. Clubhouse said that it is also rolling out a feature called Total Attendee Count on its platform. This feature will enable room creators to see and share cumulative counts of all the people who came through a room. It also said that it will be adding more analytics features in the coming months.
