In the vast landscape of GTA 5, discovering the underwater UFO holds intrigue for many players. Within Rockstar Games' universe, encounters with UFOs and extraterrestrial themes are common, adding layers of mystery to the gameplay.

GTA 5 Mysterious Location, Hidden Secrets

The underwater UFO, unlike its counterparts, is a well-concealed secret, often eluding players' notice. Positioned at the northernmost point of the GTA 5 map, it rests silently on the ocean floor near Paleto Point or North Point, accessible without the need for full completion of Story Mode.

As per GTA 5 lore, the UFO plunged into the sea following the Three's Company mission. Omega, a character in the game, references this event when enlisting Franklin Clinton's help in retrieving scattered spaceship parts across San Andreas. Despite the lore, evidence at the crash site suggests the event occurred some time ago, with seaweed and debris now obscuring the area. Keen-eyed players can explore the site further using GTA 5 PC mods to drain the water, revealing the UFO's surroundings at a depth of approximately 400 feet.

Although some players have discovered a means to enter the crashed UFO, it merely entails exploiting a texture glitch, offering no substantive content within.

While the underwater UFO shares design similarities with the Mount Chiliad UFO, its crash has eroded some details. In GTA 5's tradition, the inclusion of UFOs and alien themes enriches the gaming experience. Apart from the underwater UFO, three others can be found:

  • Atop Mount Chiliad
  • Above the hippy enclave in Sandy Shores (Beam Me Up)
  • Atop Fort Zancudo military base
