Instagram had introduced auto-generated captions for videos and reels on the platform a few months back. According to the company, the addition of captions to the videos will make Instagram more accessible for people who are hearing challenged. Moreover, the feature is even useful for those who prefer watching videos on social media without sound and yet be fully able to understand exactly what is going on. This is a great help for social media creators! Earlier, creators had to manually transcribe captions for Instagram videos. That's no longer the case! Creators, as well as viewers, can enable captions easily.

During the time of the announcement of the feature, Instagram had confirmed that the new live caption feature will be available in 17 different languages. A TechCrunch report has listed all these languages which include English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Vietnamese, Italian, German, Turkish, Russian, Thai, Tagalog, Urdu, Malay, Hindi, Indonesian and Japanese. The company mentioned that it will roll out more languages.

However, it can sometimes bring annoyance too! If you love to watch reels and Instagram videos while keeping the audio on, then those captions can be a big hindrance in the way of social media entertainment. Know how to turn Instagram's auto-generated Captions On or Off in simple steps.
