The Motorola Edge S has been in the news for quite some time now. In the past, reports have detailed what we should expect from Motorola’s next smartphone. Now, months of anticipation later, the company has finally launched its Motorola Edge S smartphone in China.
The Motorola Edge S is available in three variants. One with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space that costs CNY 1999 ( ₹22,548 approx.), one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of space that costs CNY 2399 ( ₹27,000 approx.) and the top variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space that costs CNY 2799 ( ₹35,559 approx.).
Coming to the specifications, the Motorola Edge S comes with a 6.7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2520×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It features support for HDR10 and it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, which is the ultimate upgraded version of the Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC and has been made using the 7nm process. This processor is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage space. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charge.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Motorola Edge S comes with a quad-rear camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary lens, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle macro lens, a 2MP portrait depth-of-field lens, and a ToF stereoscopic depth lens. This camera features support for features like six-axis image stabilization, macro video, audio zoom and video spot colour mode among others. On the front, it has a 6MP primary lens and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
Lastly, connectivity. Motorola’s newly launched phone has 5G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 6 for connectivity.
