Most of us might not be eligible for the vaccine right now, but our parents and grandparents are. To ensure that the least amount of time is wasted outside the house in the presence of other people while in search for a vaccination centre, it is best to do your research beforehand.

If you know exactly where the closest vaccination centre is around you and whether it is open, you can save a lot of time and stay safe. Google Maps can help you with this. The app can help you find the closest vaccination centre around you and also inform you about whether it is open or not.

As Karen DeSalvo, Chief Health Officer at Google Health pointed out, Google Maps will also let you know whether vaccines are available around you as well.

How to find the closest Covid-19 vaccination centre near you with Google Maps

India is dealing with the second wave of Covid-19 and the country has launched the third phase of vaccination, which includes people above the age of 45 years. Currently, India is vaccinating people with Covisheild, which is being produced by the Serum Institute of India, and Covaxcin, which is developed by Hyderabad based Bharat Biotech. Sputnik V is the third vaccine that has been approved in India and the first batch of Russia’s Sputnik V will be delivered this month.

The whole point is to minimise human contact as much as possible as you venture out for vaccines or work. Stay safe and wear that mask.
