Google Pixel 7 owners now have another issue to worry about. The Pixel 7 series has been out for just 3 months and while the software issues are limited, a few hardware issues have cropped up. A few weeks ago, several users complained that the camera glass was cracking up on its own without any impact or drop. Now, several users have complained of poor video call quality from both the cameras of the Pixel 7 series devices.

Based on a report from Android Police, several users of the Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro are complaining of poor quality video calls on all video apps. Users say that the video call quality from the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro appear blurry. The issue persists in popular apps such as Google Meet, WhatsApp, Instagram, and other video calling apps. The issue is present on both the front and rear cameras.

One user on the Reddit sub-forums suggested that the video call apps are not utilising the correct camera APIs, which is why the output is blurry. After all, the Pixel 7 has one of the best still photo and video cameras on the market today, and blurry video calls can be attributed to software issues. Google is yet to acknowledge the problem and figure out a solution.
