iPhone users can now apply the Focus mode feature on WhatsApp as well. The WhatsApp latest update is rolling out a version 22.2.75 for iOS to users. The new update has brought support for Focus mode on all iOS 15 users. The new WhatsApp version 22.2.75 also brings better voice memos, support for Focus mode and group/profile photos alongside notifications.

The WhatsApp Focus mode for iOS allows users to filter notifications and apps as per their preferences. With WhatsApp supporting the feature, you will now be able to select contacts from whom you want to receive notifications for a specifically selected time frame. WhatsApp Focus lets users automatically filter notifications based on what they’re currently doing, such as fitness, sleep, gaming, reading, driving, work, or personal time. The feature uses on-device intelligence to suggest apps and people you want to allow notifications from.

Another noteworthy feature rolled out by WhatsApp for iOS is the new voice messages feature that allows users to pause and resume voice notes while recording. Prior to this update, WhatsApp users could only listen to a voice message or delete it before sharing it with the contact. However, now the Meta-owned messaging app has added a pause button that lets WhatsApp users pause the recording in-between, listen to the recorded voice note and then decide if they want to continue or delete the recording. If someone is not satisfied and wants to record the message again they can do so before sharing.

To use this feature, all WhatsApp users will need to swipe up on the voice message icon and record their voice. Once done, lock the recording and then tap the ‘Pause’ and ‘Resume’ buttons before sharing.

This feature of WhatsApp is likely to roll out for Android users as well in near future while the voice message preview feature is rolling out for all users.

2022 is likely to be the year that WhatsApp focuses on services and not look to create controversies the way it managed to do in the early part of 2021. SO, expect an array of features to be rolled out to enhance users’ experience.
