Vivo rolls out Y12s 2021 in more markets

Vivo is rolling out Y12s 2021 in more markets. The smartphone is a follow up to the last year’s Y12s and comes with a few upgrades. The 2021 model is now available in Vietnam for roughly $140 ( ₹10,000 approximately). The phone had launched in India in January this year for ₹9,990.

The smartphone comes with a 6.51-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution. On the software front, it runs on FunTouch OS 11, which is based on Android 11. It has a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Vivo Y12s is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone features 32GB of built-in storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery coupled with a 10W charger.

In the photography department, Vivo Y12s comes with two rear cameras featuring 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The phone comes in Mysterious Black and Ice Blue colour options.

Separately, Vivo earlier this month announced that it would offer three years of Android update to select smartphones. The company said it would offer software support, including major OS upgrades and security updates to the X-series. The update will be available after the phones are available after July this year.

"Featuring top of the line hardware, the X series flagship phones are built to last – and we want to make sure that our customers get software support that lives up to their expectations," Vivo’s Senior Vice President and CTO, Yujian Shi, had said.
