Last month, Xiaomi launched its much-anticipated smartphone series in China, Redmi K40. Although there were rumours making rounds that the handset might launch as Poco F3 in markets outside China, a new leak now suggests something else. According to XDA Developers member Kacper Skrzypek, the K40 series might arrive with the ‘M11X’ moniker in India.

In the internal code shared by Skrzypek, it has been highlighted that K40 and the Redmi K40 Pro might launch in India and other regions as Mi 11X and the Mi 11X Pro. The code is found in an unreleased Xiaomi device codenamed “aliothin” and has the model number M2012K11AI, indicating “Mi 11X” as the marketing name.
