With time, an Android phone’s battery starts draining faster and the reason is that it starts to degrade with routine charging over time. It is simply getting old and cannot function at full capacity any longer. So, they start getting discharged faster compared to when they were new. However, you could improve your Android phone’s battery health. You can do so by checking which apps are using your battery the most. So, here're simple and easy ways to check Android phone battery's health.

How to check Android battery health from the settings menu

1. Open the Settings app on your phone and there head to Battery. You can also search for it by scrolling up the page to find the search bar.

2. Once you're in the Battery section, look for an option such as Battery usage.

3. Now search for your Battery status over the last 24 hours.

4. You can also stop an app that is using your battery heavily or disable it outright,by just tapping on the apps in this menu.

You can also check android battery health by using a dial code.

How to check Android battery health using a dial code

Step 1: Android phone’s allow users to check a few things directly from the dial pad by inputting sequences of numbers, hashes and asterisks into the dial pad in their Phone app.

Step 2: Just open your phone's dial-pad in Phone app and input the code *#*#4636#*#* and a menu will be displayed on the screen.

Step 3: Now look for Battery Information for details like charge level, battery temperature and health and enter the respective option. The details will be displayed on the phone’s screen.

However, if you’re a Samsung user, your device comes pre-installed. 

Here’s how you can check the battery's health on your Samsung phone.

Step 1: Open the Samsung app and scroll down to the Get Help tab and click it.

Step 2: On the menu, go to the Interactive checks and select Battery to see your phone’s battery power, life and capacity.
