Forget iPhone 14! iPhone 15 Ultra specs, price just got leaked

It has not even been a full month since Apple launched the iPhone 14 at its “Far out” event held at the Steve Jobs Theater and details about Apple’s next iPhone have already started popping up. Apple launched the iPhone 14 on September 7 after months of anticipation. The Cupertino-based tech giant launched four iPhone models – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Plus is an all-new iPhone replacing the outgoing iPhone 13 Mini. However, in case you are thinking of splurging a fortune on any of these models, it would be wiser to wait for the iPhone 15 Ultra as it is expected to come with some amazing specs.

iPhone 15 Ultra rumoured specifications

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently reported that Apple might change the naming strategy for its Pro Max version of iPhones. According to the report, next year’s iPhone 15 could introduce the iPhone 15 Ultra instead of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, going hand in hand with Apple’s naming strategy of this year’s Apple Watch Ultra.

This report was followed by revelation from popular tipster LeaksApplePro who confirmed this information. The leakster also reported that Apple is already working on 8K recording and it could debut with next year’s iPhone 15 series. According to LeaksApplePro, Apple might also increase the price of next year’s iPhone 15 Ultra to $1,199, compared to this year’s iPhone 14 Pro Max which has been priced at $1,099. It was earlier rumoured that this year’s Pro models of iPhone 14 could see a $100 price increase but that proved to be untrue.

Other rumours also indicate that Apple is working on extending the battery life of the next iPhone series by 3-4 hours and could finally ditch the Lightning Port in favour of the USB-C port. Just like this year’s iPhone models, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus could be powered by the A16 Bionic while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Ultra could feature the A17 Bionic. LeaksApplePro also reported that unlike this year where only the Pro models received the Dynamic Island notch, all iPhone models are expected to carry forward Apple’s new notch next year.
