Fossil launches Gen 5E smartwatches: Check specs, price here

Fossil has launched Gen 5E smartwatches. The Fossil Gen 5E smartwatches are a toned-down version of the Gen 5 smartwatches that were launched last year. The Fossil Gen 5E smartwatches are available in 42mm and 44mm size variants at a price of $249 ( ₹18,282 approximately).

The newly launched Gen 5E smartwatch is available in a host of design and colour variants. The list includes Blush Silicone, Black Stainless Steel, Black Silicone, Rose Gold-Tone Stainless Steel, Rose Gold-Tone Stainless Steel Mesh, Two-Tone Stainless Steel and Brown Leather colour variants.

The Fossil Gen 5E smartwatch models are available for pre-order in the US. The company will start shipping the Fossil Gen 5 in the US starting November 3.

Fossil Gen 5E specs

The Fossil Gen 5E comes with a 1.19-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390x390 pixels and 328ppi. It is water-resistant up to 5ATM. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor that is coupled with 1GB of RAM and 3GB of storage space. It runs on Google’s Wear OS.

The newly launched smartwatch has Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC and WiFi for connectivity. Fossil says that its newly launched Gen 5E offers a battery life of over 24 hours. It comes with a USB cable with a magnetic charger that charges 80% of the battery in 50 minutes. One interesting thing about the battery of this smartwatch is that it has four different modes that are designed to meet various requirements of the users. This includes daily mode, extended mode, time only mode and a custom mode.

In addition to this, the Gen 5E smartwatch comes with a built-in microphone that enables users to answer calls and the functionality to make contactless payments using Google Pay.
