Apple Spring Event has been officially confirmed now, and so is its next ‘Special Edition’ smartphone (almost)! Yes, you are right, we are talking about the third generation of Apple’s special edition smartphone, the iPhone SE 3. According to an Apple release, iPhone SE 3 launch date has been set for March 8 during the Apple Spring event. During the Fall event in 2021, Apple had launched the iPhone 13 series. And well before the confirmation of the event, the leaks and rumours around the next iPhone SE, which will hit the market after two years of the launch of its predecessor, were making headlines all over the internet. The interest and hype that has been built around this phone is amazing to see. And now, finally, the wait for Apple fans is almost over as just a few days are left for the launch. Here is what we know so far about the upcoming Apple iPhone SE 3.

Expected iPhone SE 3 price

The hottest topic around the iPhone SE 3 is of course, its price! The last entry-level iPhone SE 4G which was launched back in 2020, was priced at $399 on launch. But recently, this upcoming iPhone SE 3 is tipped to be the most affordable Apple smartphone ever. In a leak, analyst John Donovan, said that iPhone SE 3, which will be going to be a 5G smartphone, is expected to start at just $300 (approx Rs. 23,000 before taxes) – almost half the price of an iPhone 12 mini. At this price iPhone SE 3 doesn’t seem to be compromising on features that it offers in its previous avatar- the iPhone SE 2020. So, what will it be like?

Expected iPhone SE 3 specifications and features

Several reports and leaks about the iPhone SE 3 indicate that it will be a 5G phone with the A15 Bionic chipset. Yes, the same chipset which is used in the latest iPhone 13 series! Besides that, it is expected to feature a single camera setup- a 12MP camera sensor. It will also pack an external X60M 5G baseband chip for better photography.

Yes, you will probably not see any big change in the design, as it was previously tipped to have a similar design to the iPhone SE 2020. The earlier leaks suggest that the front of the display may have a notch for Face ID. While, on the back, there is likely to be a single camera with a flash. While, the power button and SIM tray are located on the right side, and the volume controllers are located on the left side.

However, having said all this, to know how the iPhone SE 3 will actually look like and pack within itself, you will have to wait till March 8 April Spring event.
