Free PS Plus games! Check list, including GTA Vice City, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, more

It's that time of the month again when Sony announces the free PS Plus games of the month for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Although many months this year have had disappointing free games, Sony has done its bit to redeem itself by giving games such as Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Yakuza 0 in August and the Need for Speed Heat in September. So, what fate does the month of October hold? Sony said in the official blog post, “A bumper crop of PlayStation titles make up October’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup. All these games will be available to play starting Tuesday, October 18.”

1. Grand Theft Auto Vice City – The Definitive Edition

Grand Theft Returned to the PlayStation 4 last year, albeit in a revised manner. Rockstar released the Definitive Edition of its game trilogy which includes remasters of genre-defining classics like GTA Vice City, GTA III and GTA San Andreas. Although these remastered games have received a lukewarm response from gamers, GTA Vice City is still one of the best games ever made.

2. Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition

This is an epic RPG where you play as The Luminary: the chosen one. Together with your loyal companions, you battle the dark forces and all those who want to hunt you down in the land of Erdrea. Dragon Quest XI S includes all the classic RPG style elements which will make hours disappear as you delve deeper into this fantasy world.

3. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Part of the new RPG-style Assassin’s Creed games, the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey transports you to Greece as you uncover the truth about your dark past and come face-to-face against an enemy that is both familiar, yet unknown. Travel the whole nation of Greece and discover various important landmarks which have played a key role in the history of the nation.
