It's time for another Windows 11 update! Microsoft has released the new Windows 11 build with a handful of notable changes and updates in the Development channel. However, some Windows Insiders noticed something unusual happening with the taskbar after installing the latest update.

As revealed by a Windows tester, Microsoft is testing a new icon flyout animation for the taskbar. A report by Neowin suggested that it is a part of A/B testing, which can allow you to force-enable the feature using ViveTool. Windows also confirmed in its blog that they "Fixed an issue which could lead to the taskbar overflow flyout unexpectedly appearing on the opposite side of the screen." A new taskbar animation will bring a new zoom-in variant with subtle UI changes to it.

PhantomOcean3, a beta tester for Windows 11, tweeted a short video showing the difference in the new and old taskbar animation in Windows 11. The tweet said, "No variant has to be specified for the ID. Since this ID is used for A/B testing, that explains why some people see it and others don't."
